9-10:00 Review of weekend schedule, resources and tools available, challenge review

10-11 Team formation

12 Lunch is provided (sandwiches/snacks/water)

11-5 Ideation -Teams work on project (the facility will close by 6 but work may continue on projects off site)

Sunday October 8, 9-5

9-10 Team registration,

10-1 Pitch development and creation

12 Lunch provided (sanwiches, snacks, water)

1:30 Pitch to judges and audience (in-person attendance is best from now until ending by 5pm)

3:30 Results

4:00 Certificates and celebration, all projects uploaded to NASA Space Apps site.

Welcome to Space Apps Folsom 2023, this weekend Hackathon is for the entire Sacramento region (in-person or virtual). This year we are being hosted at Granite City Coworking in Folsom, a cool place to work as it's thriving with collaboration and entrepreneurship. Youth, adults, scientists, artists and everyone in between is encouraged to join/create a team and help develop and realize changes on earth and in space, all are welcome to join in the collaboration and fun which happens over just 1 weekend. Please register now for this free and engaging event!

Our theme this year is Explore Open Science Together" and we will spend the weekend (9-5 Sat & Sun) October 7&8 addressing challenges faced on Earth and in Space with a multitude (at least 25) challenges presented by NASA itself. Historical projects included software, medical, education, robotics, water, space clothing, art and so much more. There will even be a "create your own" challenge, though it won't be able to be judged by NASA, we'll include it in our local judging. Come grab 1st, 2nd or People's Choice award and join in the fun, everyone is welcome!

Some of the most successful teams are diverse in age, skill and background so let your imagination run free and come contribute to the future on Earth and in Space. NASA provides their open source data for all projects and teams. There's always room for one more so register today!
