Join us as a NASA Space Apps Collaborator

Increase event awareness and provide supportive resources to hackathon participants. The 2025 Collaborator Application closes on June 26.

APPLY TO BE A 2025 COLLABORATOR

WHAT’S A COLLABORATOR?

Each year organizations around the world apply to engage directly with the NASA Space Apps Challenge, an international hackathon that brings together coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, and technologists. There are two levels of support from our Collaborators.

  • Global Collaborators make free tools and resources available to the NASA Space Apps Challenge community to support the creation of NASA Space Apps Challenge projects.
  • Amplification Collaborators promote the NASA Space Apps Challenge to their communities in order to attract a broader variety of participants to the hackathon.

COLLABORATOR EXPECTATIONS

Collaborators are approved on an individual, rolling basis.

  • Global Collaborators:
    • Must provide a resource or tool available to 25 or more countries.
    • Once approved, they will receive guidance on how to make resource offerings available for free to the NASA Space Apps Challenge community.
  • Amplification Collaborators:
    • Must be able to leverage their networks and communications outreach.
    • Once approved, they will receive a Participant Recruitment Toolkit which includes language and graphics they can use to spread the word among their communities.

COLLABORATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Global Collaborator:
    • Provide resources or tools that help increase participant productivity or provide support for projects.
    • Provide global resources to attract participants and incentivize the creation of strong projects.
  • Amplification Collaborator:
    • Amplify outreach to increase awareness of the program on a large scale and help attract a broader variety of participants.

WHY BECOME A COLLABORATOR?

Collaborators are known for expanding the reach and enhancing the available resources of the NASA Space Apps Challenge, a global hackathon that inspires interest in Earth and space science and exploration.
