Step 01

CREATE ACCOUNT

The first step in your hackathon journey is to create a NASA Space Apps account or log in to your existing account.
Step 02

REGISTER FOR THE HACKATHON

July 18, 2024
To participate and be eligible for Global Judging, you must first register for the 2024 NASA Space Apps Challenge. You can register up until the hackathon closes on October 6.
Step 03

CHOOSE A LOCAL EVENT

July 18, 2024
Connect with the NASA Space Apps community by choosing an in-person or virtual Local Event near you. If you don’t have a Local Event near you, choose the virtual Universal Event. You can choose or change your chosen event up until the hackathon closes on October 6.
Step 04

JOIN OR FORM A TEAM

August 22, 2024
Collaborate with like-minded problem solvers by forming or joining a team and choosing a challenge. Teams should have no more than six participants. You can choose or change your team until the hackathon closes on October 6.
Step 05

SUBMIT A PROJECT

October 6, 2024
All project submissions are due by 11:59pm on October 6! You can edit and submit your project on the “Project” tab of your Team page. Once submitted, you will receive a participant certificate and be eligible for Global Judging. We encourage all participants to submit what they accomplish over the course of the hackathon.
