REGISTER FOR THE HACKATHON

2026To participate and be eligible for Global Judging, you must first register for the 2026 NASA Space Apps Challenge. You can register up until the hackathon closes on November 15.
Step 03
CHOOSE A LOCAL EVENT

2026Connect with the NASA Space Apps community by choosing an in-person or virtual Local Event near you. If you don’t have a Local Event near you, choose the virtual Universal Event. You can choose or change your event up until the hackathon closes on November 15.
Step 04
JOIN OR FORM A TEAM

2026Collaborate with participants by forming or joining a team according to your chosen challenge. Teams should have no more than six participants. You can choose or change your team up until the hackathon closes on November 15.
Step 05
SUBMIT A PROJECT

2026To edit and submit your project, go to the Project Tab on your Team’s page. Project submission opens on Saturday, November 14 at 9:00 AM and closes on Sunday, November 15 at 11:59 PM local time. Submit your project to receive a participant certificate and to be eligible for Global Judging. We encourage all participants to submit what they accomplish over the course of the hackathon.
