WHAT’S A COLLABORATOR?
Each year organizations around the world engage directly with the NASA Space Apps Challenge, a hackathon that brings together coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, and technologists. There are two levels of support from our Collaborators.
- Global Collaborators make free tools and resources available to the NASA Space Apps Challenge community to support the creation of NASA Space Apps Challenge projects.
- Amplification Collaborators promote the NASA Space Apps Challenge to their communities in order to attract a broader variety of participants to the hackathon.
COLLABORATOR EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborators are approved on an individual, rolling basis.
Global Collaborators:
- Must provide a resource or tool available to 25 or more countries.
- Provide resources or tools that help increase participant productivity in their projects and post-hackathon support.
- Once approved, they will receive guidance on how to make resource offerings available for free to the NASA Space Apps Challenge community.
Amplification Collaborators:
- Must be able to leverage their networks and communications outreach.
- Once approved, they will receive a Participant Recruitment Toolkit that provides language and graphics to spread the word among their communities.
