CASSIOPE Spacecraft: Canada is making a significant contribution to unraveling the mysteries of space weather with CASSIOPE (CAScade, Smallsat and IOnospheric Polar Explore) satellite. Launched in 2013, CASSIOPE has eight science instruments that gather information on the ionosphere and aurora borealis to better understand the science and impact of space weather.
